It was on this date, March 31st, that — according to The Writer’s Almanac — Oklahoma! opened on Broadway in 1943.

And, with absolutely no connection whatsoever, I was in Oklahoma just last week, the 4th week of Lent, with Fr John Salem and the good folks of St Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Church.
